FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How long would a new eyebrow embroidery last?
Usually, an eyebrow embroidery will last around 1-3 years from the time you get it done.
It highly depends on your habits and daily caring routine, such as long exposure to sunlight, frequency of other beauty treatments, and physical activities. Also, skin types (such as oily or combination skin) usually do not hold pigments very well and require touch-ups.
That is why Touch Up Session(s) is highly recommended. So you can maintain the perfect shape and colour of your eyebrows.

How do I prepare for semi-permanent embroidery treatment?
Please note that you will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle. The following applies for most semi-permanent makeup procedures:
Do not wear any eyebrow makeup.
Do not exercise on the day of the procedure.
Do not tan or come with a sunburned face.
Do not consume Alcohol or Caffeine on the day of the procedure.
Do not wear eyelash extension before eyeliner procedure.
Do not dye and curl hair 30 days prior to hairline procedure.
Any eyebrow embroidery aftercare treatment?
Yes, of course! Particularly, on your eyebrow areas:
#1. Within 3 hours after your brow embroidery procedure, press three sections of your eyebrows with saline cotton pads - every 30 minutes.
#2. Avoid contact with chemicals, such as makeup/skin care products, liquid foundation, retinoids, arbutin, etc. - for at least 2 weeks to 1 whole month (the longer the better before you skin heals completely).
#3. Avoid steam/sauna (sweat steaming), profusely heavy sweating during workouts/activities (prepare a towel), eating spicy foods that stimulate allergies, swimming, going to the beach, and direct exposure to sunlight - for 3 weeks.
#4. Itchiness is normal. When the skin is micro-bladed/micro-pigmented, it creates a wound and feeling itchy means your skin is healing. Scabs/flakes (skin peeling off) should never be picked by hands/any other means because it affects the pigment retention. So please wait for the scabs to fall off by itself. The healing process takes about 15 to 30 days - depends for every person. Stay calm and patient.
...Remember.
#5. During shower, keep your face away from the showerhead, and avoid sleeping on your face - wait until your scabs/flakes have naturally peeled off completely.
#6. Every skin has different reactions. The colour pigment may be seen as an external component that the body needs to get rid off - every individual has different colour retention rate.
#7. No exfoliating, facials, or scrubbing your brow areas before it's completely healed.
#8. Keep your brows clean. If you have to touch due to itchiness, dab it gently with a clean cotton pad - do not rub.
*Eyebrow colour will look lighter right after scab-peel-offs, and the true colour will gradually gets noticable. You may use an eyebrow pencil to give definition to your brows.
Will my brow colour change overtime?
Rest assured - we only use medically-certified pigments that are safe, organic, and safe-for-mouth.
So your eyebrows (or lips, or other embroideries) will NOT turn red, blue, or green.
However, we recommend that you avoid the following (on brow areas) as precautions:
Avoid contact with chemicals, such as BB/CC cream, foundation, sunscreen, etc. (causes reddish colour)
Avoid using skin whitening (or bleaching) products and treatments, such as hydroquinone, cysteamine, botanicals, mercury, topical retinoids, etc. (causes bluish colour)
Am I a suitable candidate for microblading?
Our latest microblading technique is one of the most sought after methodologies in the industry, which gives a natural yet stylish finish.
The microblading stroke is definitely not for everyone.
Customers with pre-existing skin conditions or problems, such as keloid, eczema, scarring, and rashes are generally not suitable for microblading. Instead, you might want to consider micropigmentation.
(However, we do have some clients who are prone to keloids in particular from time to time. There were no evident scarring and the results were amazing.)
Please advise us well in advance if you have any health conditions, allergies, hepatitis, diabetes, medical conditions or are using any medications that may render you unsuitable for treatments.
What to expect from my initial eyebrow embroidery treatment?
#1. Generally, you should expect a colour retention rate of more or less 30% after your first procedure - depending on the technique used. (Best scenario is around 70% retention rate.) In about a week after the procedure, colour will begin to fade *unevenly, it is recommended that you come back for a follow up session to fill up the uneven areas after 30 days.
#2. Every person has different skin types (dry, oily, combination, aging, etc.), skin conditions, thickness, elasticity, and healing/recovery rate - thus, results vary.
#3. Touch up sessions are important to retain and enhance your embroidery result; to get your desired look.
#4. Losing colour after any semi-permanent makeup procedure is normal. The healing process inevitably involves loss of pigment because it is seen as a foreign composition which the body needs to get rid of.
#5. Remember: Follow the after-care instruction correctly.
Why do I lose my brow colour?
Manual procedure retains noticeably less colour than machine embroidery, but more natural looking finish.
Incorrect/poor after-care treatment.
Requesting for the "No-Brow-Embroidery Brow Look" or "Super-Natural Brow Look", which requires more than one touch up sessions.
Infection/rejection causing the pigment to be pushed out during the healing process.
Possible interference; picking (or, showering, rubbing, etc.) at scabs or flakes - or any other means - can prematurely remove the pigment and you will be left looking like you never even had the procedure done.
Thinner/aging skin are generally not suitable for microblading strokes.
Oily (or combination) skin; low colour retention rate and requires regular touch ups.
How frequent do I have to get a touch up to maintain or enhance my desired brow look?
Unlike traditional tattoos, which last for 1-2 decades, eyebrow embroidery is semi-permanent and will only last for about 1-3 years.
Old tattoos may even leave behind reddish, greenish or bluish ink spots which may require laser treatments to completely remove all the remaining pigments.
The reason behind the fading (semi-permanent) could be attributed to the fact that organic pigments were used and the body would gradually dissolve them over time.
Even though the brows may require minimal maintenance, it is recommended that you come back for a touch up session once in 6 months for the brows to always look perfect. Factors such as exposure to UV rays, oily/combination skin, facial-care treatments, or excessive perspiration may cause the colours to fade more easily.
When is the best time to schedule my touch up session(s)?
Usually, our semi-permanent makeup treatments come with a complimentary touch up session, which must be taken within 90 days after the initial treatment date.
A free touch up may not be included when booking through a special event or promotion.
Additional touch up(s) is available maximum 9 months after the initial procedure. The price of additional touch up sessions is 1/2 (half) of the existing price at the time of booking.
After 9 months, clients will not be eligible for touch up session and have to start over with a new treatment.
